China Shipbuilding Industry Comprehensive Technology and Economic Research Institute, as the domestic technical counterparts and standard editors of the International Organization for Standardization/Ship and Ocean Technology Committee (ISO/TC8), organizes Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Hudong Shipbuilding Valve Co., Ltd. Shuangheng Valve Co., Ltd., Dalian Marine Valve Co., Ltd., Jiangnan Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd. and other units have carried out two international standards preparation work.
ISO 21157:2018 and ISO 21159:2018 stipulate the structure, materials, welding and test requirements of marine ultra-low temperature ball valves and butterfly valves. The standard technical indicators have reached the international advanced level and achieved international leading.
